This water and the accompanying silt, from road runoff, coming down Gerling St. from the direction of Golf St, ends up on my property causing damage to my driveway and lawn. I know the water runoff and silt contain petroleum that accumulates on the road surface. This petroleum is an environmental contamination issue. As a result I want the city to take the necessary steps to halt any further damage, environmental or otherwise to my property. There is room for a recharge/catch basin to the right of my driveway as viewed in the photograph. In addition I want the foot of my driveway repaired as it has become extremely porous as a result of the petroleum eating away at it. This has been brought to the attention of Chris Wallin, city engineer, you can speak with him for additional information. I have spoken to an inspector for the NYSDEC and he has plans to visit next week to discuss the environmental fallout from this problem.

This has been going on since April 2022. Driest days of the summer and still water there and flowing. Call water dept multiple times and still no solution. It's not ground water. I am a civil engineer and understanding Woodlawn is wet area. But this is definitely not ground water. This is definitely a faulty service. Water is icing up and difficult for walkers. This is a waste of water and a lawsuit if someone gets hurt. Especially if been reported multiple times

I reported this over a week ago. Water was coming up from the ground at 36 Chiswell st. Since I first reported it a crew came out last week and blocked my driveway for 2 days without letting me know work was being done. The guys left on Thursday last week and water is still coming out from the road now 2-3 times as bad as it was before. My driveway is still closed because of the water coming out of the road and the metal plate at the end of the driveway over the worn out dirt. This issue needs to be resolved so I can leave my driveway and so the water is not wearing away the ground and road. This is a totally unacceptable repair job and inconvenience to me getting out of my driveway on a job unfinished. Nobody gave any warning this work was going to be done.

Neighbors sump pump is draining onto my driveway for years. My driveway is know crumbling and he says it’s just water. Bacteria and who knows what else can be coming out of this drainage but it’s causing a lot of damage and becoming hazardous.

This hole has been here for a few weeks and has been continuously leaking water nonstop, even on the hottest of days. It was much bigger but seemed to have been slight patches, however it has not stopped the water from leaking out.

Water has been present in this location for weeks even when everything surrounding is dry. Water is several inches deep on the sidewalk, pedestrians go into the street to avoid it. Water is also on the street for 30 feet or so. Unclear if water is originating from 1080 or 1086 University Place or elsewhere.

There is a ton of water coming through several yards here. It's difficult to pinpoint where it is coming from without venturing to other people's property. It's flooding at least one yard here, but that appears to be downstream from the source.

Five months ago I submitted a report that the plate covering this plumbing junction was unsecured and kids were starting to move the plate around. The resolution of that request was that the water department investigated and the plate would be secured and the request was closed. The barrel pictured was placed on 12/6/23. The photo was taken today, 5 months later. The plate has not been secured yet. I have retrieved the barrel from areas of the Rose Garden and the street several times over the winter. In addition, I suspect that there may be a plumbing leak because I have more water entering my basement than normal as happened a few years ago when the valve in that location ruptured.

This photo is of Sewage build up. Smudge, leaves debris etc! I’ve requested the removal of this from the sewage system but have yet not received or heard a response from anyone! I have had 5ft of water in my basement and my yard has become a pond! Water has been building up in the streets for the past several weeks and I have been subjected to financial hardship replacing hot water tanks and now my furnace! This is neglect and I will contact legal counsel if this is not addressed ASAP! This will take all of 30 minutes to resolve!
