This park was once the site of soccer games on the weekends. For years now this park has been roped off, the field closed, and most recently the park has been used as a dumping ground for the city leaf collection. This park needs to be repaired and re-opened and used as the donors of the property intended it to be.

We are pleased to note your concern regarding the Wooten Meadow site. The City Council has made it a priority that this park go through a public process to develop a master park plan. A publicly adopted master plan will establish the best uses and planned development for the park. Lacking one, “interim” uses have occurred such as use of the site by the City Public Works Department for leaf/mulch collection.
The first public presentation of information and issues is expected in late summer, followed by City Council-initiated public planning meetings, expected in October 2014. The Master Plan is typically developed over the course of a year, certainly before Spring 2016, the earliest capital funds could be allocated for new development.
