Thanks for reporting! We have alerted staff, who will try to remove the illegal dumping as soon as possible. Please call the Police Department any time you see people illegally camping at the library or surrounding area, especially if you see items such as syringes!

Yesterday (9/16), the Police Department, Community Services Section, Code Enforcement, and Public Works personnel posted notices at all locations (City Hall, library, parking garage, waterfront) giving illegal campers seven days to remove all items from these areas, per the municipal code which you can view here http://bit.ly/1mbs6Xs.
