I have watched Meadows Drive deteriorate over the years--it did not just start this winter. Numerous base failures near the bike path, and then there is this water line project. I can understand that the City needed to take a pause for the winter on this project, but the road has gotten awful. If somebody from the City could communicate via comment what is going on, we would appreciate it. Are you planning to fix these base failures and repave the road once the waterline project is complete? As a side issue, have you considered reducing the road to three lanes (two through and a center) so that it is safer for bicycles? People speed way too much. Bottom line, some communication would be appreciated. Thank you.

FYI: I still don't have details but the Bay Trail is still in process. I believe this project is still out for bid and it's taken forever-but it's continuing. It will follow Meadows from Sonoma Bl to the end of Meadows. Eventually there will be an extension to Wetlands Edge in AmCan and north. This should have a major effect on this situation. It would be deeply appreciated if we were given more information. As it stands improvement seems an illusion.

That's great information. If somebody from the City is monitoring this (as I hope you are since that is what See Click, Fix is supposed to be for), please respond to our questions. When will Meadows Drive get fixed? What is the status of the Bay Trail? Will bicycles be considered in the paved cross section for Meadows Drive? I am a long time resident, and I would like to see improved communication.

FYI and to Craig: If you Google "Bay trail vallejo" there are some resources. The last I saw that was specific showed alternative concepts, but all set aside specific areas exclusively for walk-bike. It has the potential for a very positive impact on this area. Hoping for the best. And, yes, any more specifics would be appreciated.
