Medford, MA assigned this issue to Medford Police Traffic Unit

MPD reported back on clickfix that they are aware of the issue, zoning is aware, and code enforcement is aware but no action by city. Ongoing for 6 months or more, today 7 out of state vehicles parked in Carr Park parking lot. At the very least 48 hr enforcement tag and tow. Why is. Commercial business being allowed to operate on public streets and parks?

I’m curious what harm they’re causing? Is there not enough parking at Carr park for the community?

It sets the precedent that businesses can use taxpayer funded land to run their operations and also skirt paying ma taxes by registering their vehicles in NH. If enterprise and hertz closed their offices and just started using the high school parking lot instead, people would be extremely upset.
