Now they have multiple vehicles that do not run and are just parked on the road. Trash all over the street and on private property. Dogs running looses up and down the street. I have. a hard time believing that if this was in the Mayor's neighborhood that there is nothing they can do. What do we pay taxes for!!!

This is in addition to the bus that hangs out there every single day. This has already reached an unsafe, unhealthy, and unsightly level. Some of these cars park at an angle with part of their cars blocking the street, making it difficult for other cars to drive by safely. These people have trash all over the place and it's only getting worse. I've tried reaching out to city council members and they either don't reply or they let me know they're doing their "best". People want to feel SAFE if their own neighborhood! Please do something!

It’s now a health and safety problem.

I used to walk my kids through that street and have them bike there. It is now impossible due to loose guard dog and random cars and trash. A neighbor’s daughter was bitten and had to take a rabies shot. Can someone for God’s sake help?!

Definitely a health issue. Where do they go to the bathroom? The greenbelt?

I haven't walked on that street in months because I'm afraid of them and their dogs. I walk 4 blocks out of my way to avoid that block.

I submitted a complaint to the Community Services Department at 707-553-7218. Apparently they deal with homeless issues. I also submitted a request to the COV to paint the curbs red, at least up to the back of the houses on all four corners. Fingers crossed that someone will finally do something.

Don't waste your time with Verder-Aliga, her canned response is that they are doing all they can. If that's the case, they are failing miserably and should step down.

I was going to say that exact same thing! Any time I’ve emailed her that’s exactly what she says. They’re always doing “the best” they can.

She's a waste of time. Her standard answer is, "we're doing the best we can." If this is their best, I hate to see what their worst is.

Day or night, we should all drive by and blow our horns on Woodvale St. and make it miserable for these creatures who have invaded our quiet neighborhood. I'm very sorry for the disturbance this will cause the adjacent neighbors, but if we all do this consistently and persistently, maybe we can get them to leave on their own. Thoughts?

The street is now a car repair facility too. Not sure if the permanent homeless camp is part of the business. Most of us doubt they actually want to live there, especially with children and a dog. I doubt the city will step in, regardless. Expecting a second camp soon in the Ridgecrest Matitance district the COV now controls.

Please do not drive by at all hours and honk. This will do nothing to make them leave. It will only @#$% off the people that live near here. FYI the bus belongs to someone on the street that is used for work. If you don't know correct information please don't spout nonsense. The vice mayor will not do anything, they have already said that

The Bus is an Oversized Vehicle Parked in a Residential Area. They are in Violation of City Code. Look it up!

Yeah that's the problem. Who cares about a bus that belongs to someone in the neighborhood that is trying to good with it when there is a homeless encampment there.
The bus is not the issue. The homeless and stolen vehicle dumping ground are the issue.
Not debating whether it's in code violation because I don't care about when there homeless people living in the area.
The bus doesn't have loose dogs or garbage all over the street.

The street has always been problematic. Even before encampment came along there were shootings, stolen and shady vehicles parked. Hence I’ve hoped neighbors would meet and collectively address the root cause once and for all. It maybe as simple as finding them a different location or even paying them to leave. I just hope we don’t react after one of the LMDs burn and burn the nearby homes .. which is probable.

Totally unsanitary conditions and fire hazard. There is trash and junk everywhere, plus toxic spills. Where are these people relieving themselves? How are they cooking? How long before they set the low tree branches on fire and that fire sweeps up Woodson Way and Hale Streets, wiping out all our homes?

THESE ARE DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR EVERYONE!

THE CITY NEEDS TO MOVE THESE PEOPLE ELSEWHERE IMMEDIATELY!
