Thanks for reporting! We have alerted the school about this open area.

The gate remains unlocked though at times it may appear closed - some passerby maybe trying to close it but then it re-opens later. The lock can be seen on the side of the gate but needs to be put over the latch to secure the gate. Also, this easement is behind the houses on Whitney Ave opposite Elsa Widenmann Elementary School. Earlier, the key for this easement gate was with the PWD / Landscape Maintenance Inspector at City Hall. Children have been observed playing in the easement, inside the fenced area. Requesting once again to please have this open gate to the easement locked.

Said gate has been secured with a locked chain. This should deter unauthorized access. If any issues continue to arise, please let us know. Thank you for using SeeClickFix.
