Honestly this should just be used as a roller rink year round since the city can’t repair the ice rink. Roller rink costs less to maintain. And if it’s ever opened the cost of entry should go to an account solely for repairs to the rink.
It was open as a roller rink for like one month last year and no indication anywhere it was open unless you checked online - which most people don’t do because it’s always closed!

Exactly. Just as poorly managed than the pool. Shame considering all the property taxes we pay. No one seems to be able to provide information on the rink. But even to have it open as a year round skate rink would be amazing. Just wondering what the plan or status is. Such a huge space, why is it always closed? And surrounding weeds and overgrown shrubs indicate that the entire park has been forgotten. If there is any city funding for the park, where is it going?

At last week's City Council Meeting (5/8), the Administration announced the initiation of plans that should bring the rink back online by September of this year.
