I have reported this to our Animal Control Officers. When they have responded I will post an update.

Thanks for reporting. I will be watching to see what the city does about this situation. Animal cruelty can not be accepted in Raleigh.

Sick. PLEASE put a stop to this. These people are obviously breeding them by the number of cages.

today I saw the same conditions but now worse with lots of feces the dogs are laying in its been two weeks since this was first reported thede dogs seem sweet they should be treated better!

DO SOMETHING, Raleigh. Is this not under CRITICAL ISSUES??

What can we do to correct this situation? Is this a business? Everybody in this area calls themselves a breeder. They breed lots of dogs, then they call Animal Control to take the dogs to shelter. And many of the dogs have to be put down. This is animal cruelty and the rescue groups are overwhelmed with trying to take care of the offspring. And society has to again clean up the mess of the irresponsible. I want to spay/neuter all these dogs (and their owners).

On January 9, 2012, Animal Control Officers went to 911 Idlewild Ave to check on the welfare of the dogs at this address. All three dogs were in good health and both kennels were clean. There was fresh water in all of the water buckets. The water buckets were very clean and full. There was only one pile of feces in the brown male dog kennel and it appeared to be recent. There were no foul smells. All three dogs had dog houses with fresh straw inside. The owner provided proof of current rabies inoculation for all three dogs. It was recommendation to the owner to find a lighter weight tether to uses when he feeds the one dog. Officers did not find any violations at this time. The owner allowed the officers to photograph his backyard where the dogs live.

Thanks for letting us know. It sounds like they were the perfect owners when animal control arrived. The discrepancy is strange. I will start driving by there more often.

I guess I am wrong you can leave a dog tethered all day everyday as long as its to "feed them" so much for that only three hours every 24 hours I encourage everyone to take pictures that dog is chained all day I will be posting whenevrr I can to document times
