Agreed. Many houses make no attempt to shovel forcing pedestrians to walk on Townsend Avenue which is perilous. I believe they have 24 hours to clear the sidewalk (I could be mistaken). If so, it would be nice if this was enforced.

Agree. Hazard to walk on the street and a hazard to walk on the sidewalk when it turns to ice. I walk with my dog and I am afraid that I will fall and break something.

I believe if you fall on a walk then it is the property owner's responsibility. I believe that is where the liability comes in. I'm trying to get a community going on Nextdoor.com (https://eastshorect.nextdoor.com/news_feed). I think that would be a great place to try to find someone good-hearted or a group of good-hearted neighbors with snow blowers and plows to take care of this problem. We may be getting a snow blower soon and I'd be happy to do my neighbor's sidewalk if it's not done when I do mine. Would probably only take a couple extra minutes.
