  FYI there is still a ton of garbage, including a large mattress, in this same location.. this issue doesn't seem very "closed" to those of us living here!

  If the City disagrees with my comment, could they please explain here what exactly they have done to rectify this issue? The tents literally come right up to the edge of the sidewalk on one side.. there is zero space in between the tents and the road to walk. The sidewalks and bushes are full of garbage. I'm super confused as to how this issue has been fixed?!

  Laura5265 Oakland is run by Demo.crats. This is just their standard M.O. See also: Detroit. It happens to every city that used to be run by Rep.ublicans and got taken over by the Demo.crats. They do it to every city, whether it's Detroit or Oakland. There is a pattern to this

  Oakland and Detroit both used to be really great, beautiful, clean and low-crime cities. Detroit was a bustling metropolis with a prospering automotive industry. Everyone was employed, making good money and enjoying middle class American life. Oakland was also a very clean and safe city. There was almost no crime and no poverty in Oakland prior to the 1960s. Everyone was gainfully employed, the city government was doing their job and law enforcement were enforcing laws. Then the Demo.crats came. Oakland and Detroit, both former Rep.ublican strongholds, were quickly taken over and rapidly transformed from bustling, prosperous metropolises into decaying urban wastelands filled to the brim with crime, poverty, corruption and depravity. This is what happens when the Demo.crats take over. They do it to every city they touch. All you have to do is compare Rep.ublican cities of similar population sizes to Oakland (like Mesa, AZ) and you will see the huge difference it makes. I've never once in my life been to a Rep.ublican city and seen mountains of garbage all over the streets, boarded up and graffiti covered buildings everywhere, and criminals lurking on every corner. You only see this in Demo.crat cities. Only.
