THE ACTIVITY IN THE PARK HAS BEEN ON THE INCREASE SINCE THE BENCHES AT THE SOUTHERIN BASEBALL DIAMOND WERE REPLACED. PEOPLE ACTUALLY WALK TO THE PARK TO SIT AND GET HIGH THERE. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE THEY LEAVE THEIR DRUG BAGGIES AND BLUNT WRAPPERS WHEN THEY ARE DONE. THERE ARE PLENTY OF COPS IN THIS TOWN, OFTEN SITTING IN THEIR CARS IN PARKING LOTS. IS THERE A REASON THEY CANNOT SIT BY THE PARK? THEIR PRESENCE WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED!!!

When people see the kids getting high call the police

the stop and shop price right and save a lot. Need pick up there shopping cart. Around town it make the street look bad. To many food storie in one place. Hamden really changing. Been Hamden to long. Think it time to move on

Terrapin, the sneakers over the wires is an urban legend. However, the crime in Hamden is on the increase. Perhaps you want to take a look at the proposed removal of the fence along Woodin Street where the Rockview/Brookside projects are located. The fence was erected to reduce crime (although our present Chief of Police doesn't believe it has an effect, our former Chief Jack Kennelly vehemently agrees that it does....and he should know). Additionally, the CIty of New Haven wants to connect as many as 3 streets to Woodin Street...these streets run through the projects. Do you think our neighborhood will be any safer if this fence is successfully removed? Our so-called Mayor, Scott Jackson, is in favor of removing this fence...and has said so in one of the meetings of the neighborhood committee at the Keefe Center, despite the denials now being posted in editorials by Democratic Committee Chairperson Lew Panzo.

There is also outright blatant drug dealing by the black woman 30 years old driving a newer black/blue infinite at 19 Dallas st. Heroin and OxyContin are being sold. Police need to investigate.
