I have been shopping at three brothers furniture for 40 years and came down to buy some furniture on their closing/moving sale and parked in the back on the south side ofr the store. What a disgrace it is to see this in the city of vallejo. There was actually a no trespassing sign within 2ft of the chain link fence that had been cut opened for access. This homeless camp with all the others that i could see where a total mess and not to mention unsightly. How can the city allow this? I wonder if this is why three brothers is moving their store? I heard of this sight and looked it up only to find numerous other complaints regarding this area with various opinions regarding this total disregard for the law and why nothinf is being done about it. Most people are outraged others are sympathetic, for which i dont understand. This is illegal, it is posted, they are trespassing, littering , loitering, illegally camping and absolutely NOTHING is being done. How sad. What a eyesore for people coming into Vallejo. Should not the property owner be held accountable?

Also property owners for not doing anything and allowing their properties to be destroyed and the city for not coming up with and funding housing and/or shelters for the homeless.

Sherry, There are never any guarantees but apartments usually have an on site Manager... and some also have security guards. Why do absolutely nothing except complain for fear of what “might” occur if we actually assisted them? Pleasant Hill has built low income housing (Garden Parks Apartments) to house their homeless population and so far, so good. It appears to be working for them. I don’t see why it can’t work for us as well

Yes it’s cheaper, especially since Pleasant Hill has done it through a nonprofit. Perhaps they solicited the county for funds but it looks like community involvement alone took care of this.
One way to get started is to form a Community Action Committee and talk to the existing nonprofit groups already operating in the County.
