I wish they would put a "No parking from here to corner sign" on Prospect, it would help a little.

I agree, and this is also a problem on York St. near Chapel at the Chapel-York parking garage. there's no visibility of speeding oncoming traffic if a car is parked at the spot next to the garage exit.

This has been reported to traffic and parking and a meeting will be set up in the community to discuss these issues.

Same problem for drivers turning from Eld onto Orange, and from Bradley onto State. We need to enforce no standing in bus zones, and remove 'legal' spots that allow vehciles to block the sight of drivers.

The main problem here is the speeding on Prospect. The street needs to be converted into a complete street, not a highway.

In terms of the cars parked at the corner, those spots need to be removed and replaced with temporary curb extensions, or bollards, to ensure that vehicles never park there.

Alderwoman Edwards, do you have more information about a meeting on this issue? It would be great if the community would fill out a few "complete streets requests" under the auspices of the city's new complete streets design manual. There is a page in the manual where anyone can submit a request like this.

Has anyone considered moving the parking to the other side of the street on the stretch between Canner and Huntington? Given the curve of the street, if cars parked on the east side of the street instead of the west, that would keep the parking available, but remove the visibility problem.

wow better late than never I guess- This issue was posted in 2010- FOUR YEARS AGO !!

I'm shocked this is being closed unless the signage was changed to no parking. THE vehicles in question were not abandoned at the time I'll go check today to see if the issue remains. If it has been rectified then awesome
