Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

  I agree with the poster. Brush from 19th to 17th is awful--the Whoompff as cars hit the deep ones are scary, and 18th in the 700 block is also very bad. I noticed that 18th is on the 3-year plan, but proposed repair only extends to Market. I would encourage the city to extend the repair job to Adeline. Thank you!

  I agree with the this poster. I walked across Brush at 18th today and the hole is now becoming a pit. If you can't repave, just fill in the hole with tar. If you can't even do that, use some yellow paint to let drivers and bicyclists know WHERE the hole is.I believe this is bordering on negligence now.

  Thanks for posting this, I reported this on 03/05/2019, Issue ID: 5484958. Nothing has been done as of yet, I can't believe it's been this long. I encourage folks to make a claim with the City of Oakland if your car is damaged, it's been reported so this is negligence.

  I hit this one the other day, hard to see by night, it looks like an harmless puddle but it is not!

  @cityofoakland please fix it asap.
