Help needed from the City of Oakland.
Police:
This block needs to be added to ongoing surveillance by OPD for obvious reasons, some of which are tied to the issues below.
Code Enforcement:
Years have gone by with limited/zero assistance from code enforcement on violations that can easily be observed from the street in front of many of the properties on Mead Avenue. Some examples:
Barbwire on front fence/gate along property line.
Trash and general upkeep problem throughout the block.
Some tenants occupying temporary structures in front of properties.
Parties at late hours of the night and into the mornings.
Extremely loud music at all times of the day and night.
Cars parked in the middle of the street at all times.
Many abandoned cars.

In addition, please report issues of blight on private property to Code Enforcement at (510) 238-3381; please make sure to have addresses to each property that has an issue.
Also, for cars blocking or double parking in the street, please report this issue to Parking Enforcement, at (510) 238-3099. Make sure to provide them with the vehicle make, model, color and license.
