Even after several warm days that melted off most of the random snow/ice on city sidewalks, this section is still covered in ice. That shows how little effort was put into snow removal here. Are any of these deadbeat landlords getting fined? There's all kinds of trash accumulating in this spot and just makes this stretch of the street look very undesirable, which is not fair to the other businesses on the block nor to the people who live there.

I saw L&I checking the place out last week. The problem is not exactly resolved, and the City moves at a snail's pace, but I doubt anything more will be done no matter how much I complain about it. Because this is right near a cop bar and is very visible from a main thoroughfare, if the police had felt like ticketing the owner, they would have been able to see this and deal with it without being asked to do so by a resident. The residents in this building and businesses on this block deserve so much better than the type of environment create by chronic neglect.
