lets roll around at night this week and see if we can find it...

    Here you go Chris. Thanks!

    Unnamed_small_square Chris L May 14, 2012

    Ben,

Can you include the make / model of your bike so if we see it rolling around town we can notify you or the cops? Do you know the registration number?

    Chris

    Picture?type=square Ben May 14, 2012

    Thanks Common Sense,
While I agree that I should lock my bike that does not close the issue.
The bike is still stolen and having the issue open may help to close it if someone sees the bicycle.
    Thanks for your insight.

What did we just learn about locking up our bikes?

    Picture?type=square Ben May 14, 2012

Thanks Pam. Good point. The police did come out and the owner can ID the kid so hopefully we will get a call in the next couple of days.

    Kip,
Thanks for the offer! My mom actually just dropped us off a loaner. (I told her I'd light it up for her as a reward.)

Blank Pam (Guest) May 13, 2012

Looks like several people came out or went in while he was standing there. Is there something posted inside to alert customers about the theft? In case they don't know about SCF... And it's not Mobil anymore.

Blank Kip (Guest) May 13, 2012

Will keep an eye out. Do you need a loaner bike in the meantime? I have a beach cruiser and MTb if you need

    Picture?type=square Ben May 13, 2012

No Lock Anon. I know. Not smart.

Blank Anon (Guest) May 13, 2012

Did you lock the bike? If so, what type of lock did you use?

    Picture?type=square Test May 13, 2012

Here's a video of the guy steeling the bike.

    Picture?type=square Ben May 13, 2012

OFC Cameron just showed up after a 5 minute call and gave me a case number. Checked the tapes and then went up to the pawn shop. Despite the fact that the bike was stolen I feel pretty good about NHPD right now.

    Picture?type=square Ben May 13, 2012

The bicycle was a black trek road bike with a sticker on it that reads I bike new haven. It also has a battery pack in the pouch

There was a similar incident in the Westville area several years ago with a very similar description of the vehicle. I can't remember all the details but you should definitely report this to the police because I am sure they have some record of it. Sounds like it could even be the same creep.

Resident continues buying drugs from dealers at his home. He now has a newborn baby and his baby's mother living with him. Unsafe environment for a child. The resident also has an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear in court and is also wanted in the state of North Carolina for skipping out on his probation.

Not to mention that the vendor trucks who park all along the way are encouraging people to trample the roots of trees underfoot and make a general mess. Everyone was so concerned about the trees on the Green. What about the trees along Woodward?
