The cross walk signal comes on at the same time as the green light for cars, giving pedestrians inadequate visibility. Traffic Sign Complaint W archiwum262 Monsignor O'Brien Highway Cambridge Massachusetts - East Cambridge
Sports cars and motorcycles race up Route 28 every night and create unsafe conditions for motorists and pedestrians. At night when the road is wide open, vehicles travel at unsafe speeds. Many of the vehicles have illegal aftermarket exhaust that generates extreme levels of noise during acceleration, causing severe noise pollution of public spaces and homes in the area. Adjacent communities such as Brick Bottom and the Gore/Winter St neighborhood are severely impacted by the noise, which invades homes late at night and robs residents of the peaceful enjoyment of their home. The problem is especially bad for outbound traffic traveling north on Route 28 from Twin Cities Plaza.
Better signage, traffic calming, and enforcement is needed to stop people from using Route 28 as a racetrack. This is a densely-settled urban area and a highly inappropriate place for people to race their motor vehicles. Better speed enforcement and noise pollution enforcement require coordination between Cambridge, Somerville, and the State Police.

Traffic & Parking- Miscellaneous W archiwum18-52 Mcgrath Highway Somerville, Massachusetts - SomervilleDrag racing and rampant speeding occur on the McGrath Highway, especially late at night when the road is wide open. Sport car and motorcycle engines can be heard roaring on the open road, especially on the outbound lanes. Traffic calming is needed along Route 28, particularly the outbound stretch that has no traffic lights headed northwest from Twin City Plaza. The speeding has an adverse impact on traffic safety, the character of the area, pedestrian safety, and quality of life. Excessive noise levels from the amplified vehicle exhaust can be heard from inside homes throughout the neighborhood.

metal plates are slippery when wet or icy Potwierdzone14-22 1st Avenue Boston, Massachusetts - CharlestownThe metal plates at the guard booth are extremely slippery when wet or icy, posing a hazard to bicyclists. This connection to 1st Ave in Charlestown is a busy bicycle commuter route since it connects important employment sites in the Navy Yard to Boston and Cambridge. It is used by hundreds of cyclists per day. I recently almost slipped and fell off my bike while traveling over the large metal plate. An abrasive surface treatment or appropriate paint could mitigate this problem.

Bicycle racks needed near Boston Common W archiwum139 Tremont Street Boston, Massachusetts - Beacon HillThere is a severe shortage of bicycle racks around Boston Common. This is a busy area and near several important transit stations. There is plenty of space along Boston Common to install racks, especially along Tremont Street. Right now bikes end up being locked to street signs, including handicapped signs, where the bikes could obstruct vehicle access for people in wheelchairs, etc. Let's install racks where the bikes can be stored properly and safely.

Bicycle racks needed outside South Station PotwierdzoneSouth Station Boston, Ma - DowntownThere is a locked bike cage at South Station, but there are almost no outdoor racks for short-term bicycle storage. There is ample space outside the station to add racks. Most European train stations have outdoor storage for hundreds of bicycles.
