  This is within Berkeley. If you refuse to clean it up why not fence off the area like you did across the road? The aquatic park is all part of Berkeley.

  Apparently this is cover by Caltrans. i have put in a couple of requests and nothing. I really don't know what else to do but taking some trash to City hall and see if they like it. I have also emailed Ally Medina hergenraeder@gmail.com> from Eville city council but it has been unsuccessful too. To report to Caltrans you can use https://csr.dot.ca.gov/

  I don't care whose jurisdiction it is and the City of Berkeley can most certainly do something about it! Here's a thought, contact CalTrans and work together to clean this up and prevent it from reoccurring!

  There are a number of City of Berkeley owned signs (Transportation Dept) that were deposited around there. At a minimum, please retrieve Berkeley property.

  There is nothing ethical about the city of Berkeley ignoring this ecological disaster within their city limits. Pawning this off on Caltrans is irresponsible and negligent. Rather than ignore, help provide a solution. Telling concerned citizens to seek other options does not help resolve the problem. The city has power and resources that individual citizens do not.

  I think the reaction of the city to this issue highlights exactly why Berkeley is always ridiculed globally. The city is always very quick to signal their virtue and highlight who is doing it wrong. Yet here we have an opportunity for Berkeley to lead by example and completely defers to someone else.
