This vehicle has been ticketed at least three times. It even sat on locust for a month. I don't think the city of Hammond cares that it's an eyesore, or that it makes the neighborhood look like a junkyard.

Just so we're clear, the vehicle has now been pushed around the corner onto Locust where it was originally tagged TWICE. The sticker that was placed on it when it was on Jackson has been scraped off just like the last two. Code enforcement gives you 10 days to fix the matter AND will take you to court over private property issues (tall grass, messes/weeds in the alley, unsightly structures like homes and garages). When will Community Affairs start to step up? It's been two months of cat and mouse games. When is this going to end?

This vehicle was previously red tagged and then towed on 08/10/21. The vehicle owner then got the vehicle out of impound and fixed the damaged front bumper. This vehicle has valid plates, and is legally parked in front of the owners house. It does have more work that needs to be completed, but a plastic bag on a side window and different colored bumpers are not legal justification to red tag or tow a vehicle. As of this time this matter is closed.
