Nothing has changed.

This issue is still open. Litter is everywhere around this home and the garbage cans are left out all the time.Nothing has been done to address the physical problems with this house.

The house is still in a sad state of disrepair.

House is still in same if not worse condition and as of 9/16/12 it is empty.

This property is continuing to depreciate. The garage door is now open. Litter is a continuing problem.It is dark at night and has a long driveway which could invite criminal activity. Snow is not shoveled.
There are only eight homes and an apt bldg. on our block. This house continues to devalue our area.

I would like to see this fixed. Has the local Alderperson been contacted regarding the property?

Yes the alderperson has been contacted and she is speaking to LCI today.Maybe then the owner will be located,(bank).

LCI sent an Anti-Blight and Civil Citation letter to the former Owner/Bank also via e-mail as to what needs to be done to this property located at 268 Winthrop Avenue. If you should have any questions, please call the Neighborhood Specialist.

Thank you for sending the note. I am glad the city is taking some important steps to try to remedy the situation. However the issue should remain open until the condition is physically addressed.

Agree with Ben. It looks like the original siding is still there. Many houses have lost that, or require costly re-siding.

There are no changes to the physical condition of this property. Hoping for a loving owner soon who would keep the historical aspects of this house intact.

Someone boarded up the garage and cleaned out furniture, old stuff from house. There is a tarp on the roof. This was weeks ago. Have not seen any one since.

Has LCI gotten involved or received any response from its letter?

Still in the same physical condition.Someone did cut the grass.

Occassional grass cutting but no physical changes or tenants as of today.
