The MLK Plaza has been taken over by vermin leaving their crap (stolen bikes, trash) all over a piece of public art. Why the hell are we allowing this to happen? What tax paying residents want to come enjoy a holiday parade surrounded by this filth? Get them gone!!

Why? The answer is that these requests are assigned to code Enforcement Division….
The COV uses SeeClickFix to assign Homelessness requests to ineffective and/or nonexistent City services department that has no jurisdiction on Public property.
Nothing is done due to city wide misinterpretation of a 9th circuit court ruling. Also, the VPD has been intentionally defunded and is not hiring new officers as city management’s policy. The laws of Vallejo are not being enforced as a result of poor management.
