My wife and I wanted to express a concern we've had regarding the Silver Lake Loop Trail. Specifically the portion of the path that is on 19th Ave SE.

Along this path, there is no protection or barrier that separates the side walk from the the road. The amount of speeders and accidents we have witnessed over the years on this stretch of road makes us feel uncomfortable going for a walk.

We understand there has been discussions about improving this portion of the trail. We would like an update on what the city is planning on doing to protect the citizens that use this "trail" along this dangerous stretch of road.

We live in a very short walking distance but have been choosing to drive to Hauge Homestead Park rather that walking this portion of the trail due to safety.
