Thank you for reporting! The Police Department's Community Service Section (CSS) has opened a case for this issue. CSS has one part-time and three full-time employees who are responsible for addressing all quality of life concerns, supporting Neighborhood Watch groups, and working with the Neighborhood Law Program and Code Enforcement to address distressed and dangerous properties. We work hard to investigate each report in a timely manner, and will investigate this report as soon as we possibly can. Please keep in mind there is a lengthy process to remove illegal encampments. As mentioned previously, if you could get the little grove of 8 trees cut down, I'm sure that they will self relocate.

It's not the trees' fault. Leave them be.

My suggestion is to put large boulders all through the area, impossible for them to congregate.

I would like to suggest using a high pressure water cannon on them
Blast them and let them know they are not welcome in Vallejo

The city of vallejo has given up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome bums! Camp anywhere you like! Defecate, use your drugs, start fires , dont pay any taxes, run your non licensed vehicles around with impunity from the law, WELCOME! Tell your other homeless bums from far away you have found BUM MECCA!!!!!! Vallejo has turned into a lawless do as you please town and it shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Park your unlicensed RV's in commercial parking lots, throw your garbage everywhere,make anywhere you desire your new home! I will try and post some council members addresses so you can use their front yard as one of your camp sights, they seem to have no problem with you staying here, maybe they will even cook your meals and clean up your filth for you!

It’s unfortunate for the trees but it’s even more unhealthy for these encampments to be here.
Regarding the boulders, it’s a great idea. In San Francisco Public Works remedied several major problem areas including under 101 at Caesar Chavez by placing large boulders in spots where tent encampments were prevalent.

I like the rocks- boulders idea also and trim and remove some trees
And douse them using a water cannon as needed

This is not an encampment but people loitering. Please call 911 when they are loitering.

The last time I called 911 about the "loiterers" fighting in the street, they said they would send someone. 6 hours later I got a call back from 911 asking if I still needed someone to come out.
The police obviously don't have the resources to deal with this situation. Any other ideas?
