Opis
The city took down a dead tree in front of 88 Bishop St late last
summer. Last fall I chatted with the guys removing the cut wood and
they said they would try to have the stump removed before winter. Its
still there.
Also, can we ask the city to replace the tree?

FYI - in most instances the stumps are left longer than a few months to allow the root to decompose a bit allowing for a good 'grind out' and hopefully, a better replant when the time comes. This is especially true for very large and old trees.
You would want to get in touch with Urban Resources Initiative ( URI) directly and request a new planting. They are partners with the Parks Department and they manage the planting. The director can be reached here:
