Deskripsyon

Sediment is washing into creek from the new Trenton Pointe development neighboring Umstead Park. There are multiple erosion sources, but the most notable one is off of Umstead View Drive. The stream is bright orange. This same sediment can be viewed downstream on Loblolly Trail within Umstead Park. Please contact me for more details and pictures.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department, Stormwater Division. When the staff has had a chance to respond I’ll post an update. Thanks for reporting.

Per Public Works: An inspector investigated on 4/22/14. During the inspection, there were no signs of sediment leaving the site. The turbid discharge into the creek from both basins is being filtered through the skimmer and the outlet pipe and then through a silt fence outlet as designed. We will continue to conduct routine inspections at this site. A voicemail has been left with the requester.
