Florida Law (https://flsenate.gov/Committees/BillSummaries/2021/html/2340) requires persons who report potential violations of codes and ordinances to provide specified information to the governing body before an investigation occurs. The Belleair Police Department cannot investigate requests that come from anonymous or fictitious persons or requests that come without full and accurate contact information.

Please resubmit a request with proper contact information.

With all due respect, please explain. If someone's grass is 2 feet tall and your code officer (Torch) drives by the place, he's not allowed to act until someone makes a complaint including their "full and accurate contact information."? And yet, if someone is walking their dog off leash he is allowed to act at that moment? Please explain the difference between the 2 infractions. Thank you.

$2,153,247 the citizens of Belleair are paying our police department per year and this is the response to this simple complaint? That's sad. And yes, daily, we see your officers in two cars (one is a Ford F150) HIDING on the private drive of Baybrook Place, out-of-sight as they chat with their windows down. Is this what we as Belleair residents are paying for?
