Opis

When the light turns green for Whalley Avenue traffic, the "walk" signal automatically comes on signaling it is safe to cross West Rock Avenue, BUT traffic routinely turns onto West Rock from Whalley Avenue, especially at rush hours.

In order for pedestrians to cross Whalley Avenue at the West Rock intersection, all traffic is stopped, but ONLY when light signal is pushed.

Can you change the West Rock signals to the same system?

I can attest this is a very, very, very dangerous intersection. Even with this walk signal you take great risk crossing because cars rushing from Whalley can't see around the corner building (the vacant one on W. Rock) and I've had a few close calls. When "WALK" is displayed drivers should have RED lights.

This continues to be a fatality waiting to happen. It was acknowledged five years ago. Please, fix the system so that SE bound Whalley traffic has a red light when the WALK signal for West Rock is on.
