GET RID OF THIS USELESS TRAFFIC LIGHT!! IT DOES NOTHING!!!

I agree, this light is a throw back to the days before I-787 was extended. The one at Bridge St, not Bridge Ave, could also go, if it is still there.

This traffic light should be removed, as well as the one near Mohawk Paper Company. It is useless, and does absolutely nothing except slow down commuters trying to get to and from work.

787 he's about to be changed to a 25 mile per hour highway from the Cohoes City line to the end at the Waterford bridge.

I agree these lights we're not needed but now that 787 is going to be backed up every day due to the speed limit being reduced 225 miles per hour a lot more traffic is going to be going on Saratoga Street

For those of us who remember the 19 60s and 70s and how bad traffic was and how impossible it was to get out of Saratoga sites or down the hill where the paper mill is knows those lights were absolutely necessary and the reason why they were installed.

If there are not sensors in the roadway at the exit of Saratoga sites and at the intersection of bridge and Saratoga near the papermill they should install sensors and replace the control boxes with newer equipment so that the only time the lights change is when someone is waiting to get onto Saratoga Street.

But you'll see when they drop the speed limit in the next few weeks on the whole length of 787 Saratoga Street is going to become a main thoroughfare again.
