Description
The dumpster behind the Salvation Army on Wake Forest Rd is being emptied very early in the morning. The dumpster backs up to homes on Benjamin St., is being emptied once a week between 4:45 and 5:45 AM. This violates the Raleigh Noise Ordinance and should not occur until 7AM. Can the zoning dept ask Waste Management (who I assume takes care of the dumpster) to adjust it's schedule to fit the noise ordinance?

Though this could be a violation of the noise ordinance it is going to be very difficult to enforce this with a zoning enforcement action. Either multiple people will need to swear out a complaint or we will need to catch the dumpster being emptied in the act and register a reading on a noise meter. It is a lot easier to just ask the Salvation Army staff directly. I will attempt to contact them to ask them to adjust their schedule.
