Thank you for reporting this issue. Here is a response from the railroad manager, Mr. Jake Harrison:
I apologize I have not gotten back to you sooner, a lot going on right now for us. We did do a cleanup of the trash along the tracks from the Lewis Brown crossing north up to the Mini Drive crossing area, and our plan is to clean up the tracks from the Lewis Brown crossing south all the way down to Derr Street. Timeline wise we are looking at the first week of April, however please work with us as this is not a quick process and the rain / weather makes scheduling tough. We also have to work with the Vallejo Police Department as the homeless people living near the tracks will not leave voluntarily. Also this is not cheap to clean up and will cost several thousands of dollars to do.
Please know we are committed to cleaning this area up and we are also looking at hiring a private security company to patrol the area and help discourage these homeless encampments from starting in the first place. We appreciate your patience while we work through this.
Thanks,
