The waterfront is the "face of Vallejo" to those arriving by ferry and residents who want to enjoy this jewel, but the city cannot figure out how to maintain it from a wide range of blight. Thanks for reporting.

COV says they are only responsible for the area surrounding the dental office and that GVRD is responsible for everything south. Seems to be a “no man’s” land when trying to report a concern by phone. My mother use to tell how instead of giving to school PTA’s they gave instead to Vallejo parks to develop and maintain open play space for children. What a slap in the face to those who had vision.

I’m not too proud of this area either.
The Waterfront is highlighted on just about any webpage that deals with Vallejo. I’m sure once the new development goes in it will be privately landscaped and maintained. Upgrades to the Waterfront & Park are way past due. Maybe let’s get the parking structure stairs done first, that has been years in the making.

Mare Island appears to be the "hope" of Vallejo. While they have a police substation, there are private security and private maintenance personnel constantly patrolling 24/7. Unsure if this is appropriate solution for Waterfront. My thanks to those who continue to keep this issue in the forefront, for whatever it is worth.

I can't wait for the response, it probably will confuse them that you did it yourself. Maybe you should close it before the City wastes more time & resources. I do not close another persons issue....
