Also reported to the following entities: Nancy & Tom of Lennar; Mayor Sampayan; Robert McConnell, City of Vallejo; Justin of US Forest Service.

I am the Lead of NextDoor Mare Island and I’m getting messages and calls from irate neighbours. Large trucks carrying cement and other building materials are using Azuar for their convenience. They should be using Railroad instead. There is a sign posted but they are not heeding the sign. The trucks make loud noises plus their rumbling by actually shakes the homes. Large trucks, including the recent tandem gravel trucks roaring down Azuar is beyond an inconvenience – it is deafening – even when the windows are closed.

Trucks SHOULD use Railroad Ave instead of Azuar – a truck route along Railroad Ave which the National Guard has apparently already agreed to use. This would greatly improve the community. The large CFD tax Mare Island homeowners pay would at least grant them some measure of City protection and peace.

Please make this your priority today.

Note: Larger signs at the entrance of 37 to Mare Island and another after the Blue Bridge will help direct the drivers to use the correct route – Railroad Avenue

This repair started several months ago but it looks like it was incomplete. The bumps are not only hazardous and could damage our vehicles but also unsightly to visitors.
