Most nights, and particularly on weekends, there seems to be high rpm noise accompanying speeding on Broadway between Alvernon and Swan. Much of the noise is made by motorcycles winding up to high rpm.

We got neighbor renters on the NW corner of 4th St./Columbus where a tenant has a very loud motorcycle where it has awaken our newborn at 9p, 11p, 12a and 3a. Our baby startling awakes every time the noisy tenant drives by. We live 3 houses away!
I would GREATLY appreciate authority to resolve this (apparent) issue with noise pollution in our neighborhood especially with renters who couldn't care less about their neighbors.
please help

I'm sorry to hear about your problem and I too have the same neighbor problems in my neighborhood from time to time. However, I don't think this is the correct forum for your concerns. Issues/Complaints here mainly go to the City's Transportation Department. I would suggest calling the Tucson Police Substation for your area, Operations Division Midtown at 520-791-4253 and telling them your concerns and seeing if they will grant your request of posting the mobile radar van for a few nights. You can also call the Community Service Officer for your area, CSO Becky Noel at (520) 837-7428 and voice your concerns. Finally, when you witness racing vehicles and reckless driving, call 911 to report their actions and get as much information for responding officers as possible. (and obviously preferably license plates and addresses of where the vehicles are located)

Thank you, John. Certainly, it seems as if this type of issue is not forwarded by the Transportation Department to the Police department. How difficult would that be? I will take up your advice with the phone numbers suggested. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
Dennis.
