Thurs Aug 5 at 3:30 pm at the Mt. Airy train station. A car. A construction worker (Septa?) sitting inside. I observed idling here earlier this week or last week, also by a construction worker, who appeared to be sleeping inside his car, windows rolled up, AC on. (There's a project going on at the station.)
When I knocked on a window and spoke with him about the anti idling law, he turned off his motor and thanked me!

The Clean Air Council is collecting data on idling hotspots in Philadelphia and your report is helping us to do this. Collecting this data allows for targeted enforcement by Air Management Services. The duration of idling is also helpful for our reports.
I'm glad to hear that the driver turned off the engine after you spoke with him about the law. Please report further if the idling continues.
Thanks for your help in improving our city!
