It sounds like they are doing construction on the train tracks behind William St. There is loud hammering and drilling...and it starts around 10pm and continues throughout the night. I wasn't able to sleep last night and it woke our child up multiple times. Can't this be done during the day? I tried calling the Mayor's office about this earlier today and they just gave me the run around transferring me to other departments. Typical New Haven.

The I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing Corridor Improvement Program has said they want feedback. Their link is here, and I recommend calling instead of emailing them. There is also a 24 hour Bridgeport field office that you can call at night if the noise is problematic. I think they're required to follow up with the contractor when someone calls. I don't have the number handy but will continue to search for it.

DOT has been doing late-night tree-clearing in the Amtrak right of way behind William Street and Farnam Court (scheduled to continue next week). It's related to the I-95 work, see the project website:
