Description
Cars park too close to the corner of Starr and Prospect (on Prospect) and you cannot see cars headed South on Prospect. They drive at tremendous speeds and I have almost been hit several times inching out. The problem is I have to inch out so far to see clearly that my car is halfway in the road and I almost get hit every time by cars speeding down Prospect who have no idea there is a street there.

The main problem here is the speeding on Prospect. The street needs to be converted into a complete street, not a highway.
In terms of the cars parked at the corner, those spots need to be removed and replaced with temporary curb extensions, or bollards, to ensure that vehicles never park there.
Alderwoman Edwards, do you have more information about a meeting on this issue? It would be great if the community would fill out a few "complete streets requests" under the auspices of the city's new complete streets design manual. There is a page in the manual where anyone can submit a request like this.
