Deskripsyon

The storm drain approximately located by the pin on the map of Westgate Road is clogged. The curb debris has not been cleaned in a long time and the drain is completely full. When it rains, it actually backs up and water spews into my yard. It has created a bad erosion problem for me, and I need it addressed soon please. Its doing damage to my property and potentially the foundation of my house. I contacted StormwaterUtilityHelpingU@raleighnc.gov, but I have not received any response.

I've referred this to our Public Works Department. When the staff has had a chance to respond I’ll post an update. Thanks for reporting.

One of the City of Raleigh Maintenance crews responded this morning. We cleared the grate; however, Westgate Road is not maintained by the city. The grate is now clear but the basin, pipe and tail ditch are all in disrepair. Until the state redefines the ditches and flushes the basin and pipe, this problem will continue so we are referring this issue to DOT for resolution on their part.
